Our Team
At Taylor Ashley Therapy, we’re committed to making high-quality mental health care more accessible, without compromising on the values and standards that guide our practice. We’re excited to welcome advanced-level therapy interns who bring years of experience and a deep dedication to client care.
Our interns offer virtual therapy sessions for convenience and accessibility, making support more reachable than ever. Each intern is closely supervised by Taylor Ashley and an experienced registered supervisor, ensuring alignment with our trauma-informed, client-centred approach.
Sessions with interns are often covered by insurance plans that include psychotherapy or Registered Psychotherapists (Qualifying).
We truly believe in the skills, compassion, and presence these interns bring. This is affordable care—with heart, integrity, and professional support.

Meet Ummi (Ummehani)
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Hi, I’m Ummi (short for Ummehani). I know how heavy life can feel sometimes—when you're stuck between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming, when relationships feel distant, or when the weight of expectations, emotions, or past experiences becomes too much to carry alone.
With over 10 years of experience in behaviour therapy and now as a registered psychotherapist, I offer a space that’s warm, grounded, and centered around you. I bring not just professional training, but my own lived experience navigating identity, change, and healing.
My approach is gentle and collaborative. We go at your pace, and together we explore what it means for you to feel safe, whole, and connected again. I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches—like CBT, DBT, EFT, and psychodynamic therapy—but above all, I center compassion, culture, and your unique story.
